Flower Girls
The reason for the catch up posting yesterday was so I could post about our wonderful weekend! We spent 2.5 days in Topeka getting Uncle Ben MARRIED!!!! This has been talked about for a year. The girls have been SO excited to be flower girls and it was such a long time to wait. I think it was everything they dreamed it would be and more. I was super proud of their behavior and manners this weekend!
We left early Friday morning and Molly wore her bear sleeping mask for some odd reason. Kinda freaky looking!
Brynlee woke us up super early and fell asleep by Medicine Lodge. This is the best way for Brynlee to travel. Lol She actually did really well this time. The girls are good at keeping her entertained.
We checked into the hotel when we got to Topeka. Joe helped Ben cut down some trees at his house and us girls went shopping with Grandma Candy. Just had to get some basics for the wedding from Target. After getting changed, we all went to the church for the rehearsal. No pictures taken there...Brynlee wasn't too excited about walking down the aisle. At this point we were taking bets about whether she would make it down the aisle or not! I was betting on NO GO!
The rehearsal dinner was at the Blind Tiger Brewery. We had BBQ and Ice Cream Cakes for dessert. The girls were in heaven!! The girls made lots of new friends that night. Tracy's bridesmaids and friends were so good with the girls. Chatting and joking with them. By Saturday night, they were great buds! Lol Ben and Tracy got the kids gifts for being in their wedding. The bigger kids got sticker/activity books by Melissa and Doug . These kept them busy for hours!
They got Brynlee this Leap Frog dinosaur that plays music and teaches the ABC's. She really liked it!
But she liked this box the BEST! Ben brought in the groomsmen's gifts in this box. She took it as her own. Climbing on it and in it. What kids doesn't love a box?!? Lol
Saturday morning the girls were so excited that TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! Not only excited about being flower girls, but also that they could swim in the hotel pool. Lol It's the little things. :-) After breakfast, the kids got into their swim suits and hit the pool
Aunt Jen and Grandma Candy got in with the kiddos. They all had their floaties so they went all over the pool!
Brynlee was super tired (yippee! Early nap as planned!), so we hung out and watched everyone swim and well...took pictures of ourselves! :-)
Quick baths, lunch, nap for Brynlee and hair took up the rest of the morning. Aunt Jen curled Molly, Carter and Ellie's hair into ringlet curls. I got the kids fed and dressed while Jen got ready. The time flew by and it was crazy for a while. We some how made it to the church in time for pictures! lol The kids even had time to play before the ceremony. Thank goodness for the church nursery!
