Colorado Christmas Part#3

So we did Christmas Eve and Christmas a day early as far as the kids know. I saw a cute idea on Pinterest to wrap up a "Christmas Eve" box.  I put in matching PJ's for each of them, a new movie (Madagascar 3), boxes of popcorn and treats.   They watched their movie upstairs and we watched Christmas Vacation that Doug brought.

The big girls love matching Brynlee. One of these days they won't like it so much.

Brynlee LOVED playing on the stairs.

Movie night

Ellie helped me bake cookies for Santa.  Chocolate with Peanut Butter Chips are his fav (same as Joe! ).  We sat out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk.  We also put our boots on and sprinkled Reindeer Food on the deck.

Christmas Eve was our Christmas day and Santa came!!!

Santa brought Brynlee a Fisher Price jungle

He brought the big girls American Girl dolls.  Melissa (Molly's) and Charlie (Ellie's) loved the mountains as much as we did.  lol

Ellie and her baby match pretty purple dresses!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!  :-)

Christmas Eve we went down to the Cuchara Chapel for a Christmas Eve service.  It was fun to be able to still go to church on Christmas.  The church was so pretty and everyone was so welcoming.  Brynlee wasn't having it so we got to see a lot more of the church than I planned.  She walked all around outside the sanctuary.  When we got back Joe had smoked a prime rib, Candy made twice baked potatoes and rolls and I made spinach artichoke dip.  We pigged out!  It was probably the best prime rib I've ever had! Tracy made a Cherry Cheesecake for dessert.  Yum!  After everyone was in bed, we started packing up to head home the next day.  It is always so hard to leave after a relaxing time out there!

We drove home on Christmas day and it had snowed the night before and some while we were driving.  The roads were snow packed and drifted in some places.  I am glad Joe was driving!  It was stressful and slow moving to say the least!

It was BEAUTIFUL though!

The girls did really good!  Thank goodness for the early Christmas gift of a portable DVD player and lots of movies!  It took us a hour or two longer to get home.  This little person did ok, but got fed up with her carseat.

We were all so thankful when she finally fell asleep!!!

Bye bye Tall Mountain!  See you in the summer, if not before!
