Colorado Trip Day#1

On the 4th of July this summer, we headed out to Cuchura, CO.  This is the Murphy Family vacation site for the last 4 years.  The first time we went Molly had just turned 2, Jen and I were pregnant with Carter and Ellie and Tom/Candy had just bought the condo out there.  A little different this year...Molly is 6, neither Jen or I are pregnant (Thank goodness!), we had 5 kids total to chase around and the condo is for sale and we stayed at their new house which has tons of room for those 5 little monsters to run around in.  We had a great time!!!

So here is how we roll...

3 Polaris Rangers were pulled by Jake's pickup.  Notice our John Deere Gator in the back of our Ranger for the kids!  Lol  They didn't use it as much as I thought they would.  I was hoping to go on walks and they could ride along.  Maybe next time!

We met Jen and her family in Bucklin.  They loaded the Rangers and put Grandma's car on the trailer behind the RV.  Ben and Tracy drove his pickup because he was taking some furniture back home with him from the new house and there are so many kids now we have to have 3 cars to get anywhere.  There are 14 ppl total now!!!  It was a Pajama Party in the RV for the kiddos.

Molly talked about riding on the Ranger while it is being pulled down the road just like Si did on Duck Dynasty.  If you watch this show you know exactly what I am talking about.  Its hilarious!!!!  I promise it wasn't for the same reason that Si didn't want to ride in his RV...ours smelt just fine.  Well a little bit like moth balls, but that made us remember Grandma Gini!  :-)

The RV makes 6 hours of travelling very comfy!  No car seats to set in, snacks galore, movies to share and the best thing...the bathroom!!!  :-)

We made it!!!  The new house "The Cabin" is at the end of a cul de sac.  This gives us room to park the RV, 3 vehicles and the trailer full of Rangers.  In the past, the RV had to go back down the mountain because there was no room to park it by the condo.  The Kstate flag was put out first thing!!!

The kids were thrilled to finally get to "Tall Mountain"
Molly 6, Carter and Ellie 3.5, Jack 1.5 and Brynlee 7 months

Brynlee and Joe hanging out the 1st night there.  The weather was BEAUTIFUL and almost chilly at times.  Poor Grandma Candy was sick the first night there, but recovered to enjoy the rest of the trip.  We did a Shrimp Boil the first night there and I think that will end up being an annual tradition.  So good!  I think the hot tub was enjoyed by a few that first night there too.  It is outside on the deck...which is a good thing!  Lol  The water was overflowing when the Murphy brothers got in.  Lol
