Pumpkin Patch 2011

Last weekend, we went to the Harvest Farm Pumpkin Patch in Turon, KS.  This is our second year to go and I think it will be a family tradition from now on!  Last year, we had cousin Carter with us so we called them up and had them come meet us again this year too.  Gma Candy and Papa Tom came along and we ran into some friends up there too.  Suzie had all 3 little Girks and Jody was there with her little Leepers!

We got up early and tried to be there when it opened at 10am.  A few of us had issues with clothes fitting so we ran behind some.  Lol  It was awful chilly and windy when we got there, but turned into a beautfiul 80 degree day!

The girls SO wish that we can have a tire swing at home, but we don't have big trees.  Maybe when we have grandchildren our little trees will be big enough!  Ellie only fell out of the tire once, amazing!

Ellie's FAVORITE thing there!  The horsey swings!

Ellie and Carter loaded up in the train.  It took them all around the pumpkin patch!

Our entire clan watching the Pumpkinator launch pumpkins into the air.  This is really cool and the pumpkins fly forever.  Even with the south wind we had that day!

This was a perfect time to hand out snacks!  I was setting behind the group resting through a few contractions.  Walking seems to get them going.  Oh the joys of being 35 weeks pregnant!  I am pumped that I could make the pumpkin patch this year.  We had planned it the year I was pregnant with Ellie and I had to back out.

A hay rack ride took us out to the pumpkin patch.  Ellie and Carter were smooshed between Joe and I

Ellie picked this pumpkin because it had stripes!  She wanted some HUGE pumpkins.  I told her Momma couldn't carry the huge ones and we would have to wait on Dad!  Lol

Joe and the girls racing to see who could pump water into their buckets the fastest!  It's a K-State game day if you couldn't tell!  Look at all that purple!  Momma doesn't have any purple that fits right now, bummer!

After 3 hours at the pumpkin patch we took our hungry, tired bunch back to Pratt for lunch.  We stopped at Legends for burgers and pops!  The food was good and the girls were great!  They are at such a fun age and are so good when we go out to eat or shopping!  Ellie and Joe above waiting on our food.  I think the extreme tiredness and the pop have gotten the best of Ellie.  LOL

Pretty serious talk huh?

After lunch, Joe dropped me off to run into Stutzman's for mums and then we dropped him off at Ace to get fertilizer for the grass.  Between the stroller (to carry snacks and pumpkins!), mums, fertilizer and pumpkins we had a full ride!  Hard to believe next year Baby#3 will be almost a year old at the pumpkin patch!  Can't wait to go again with Joe and ALL of his girls!  :-)
