First Day of Kindergarten
How can Molly Jo Murphy be old enough for school???? Oh goodness! It just doesn't seem possible that our first born went to her first day of school today! She has been excited about starting kindergarten since she was in preschool! This morning she didn't show a bit of nervousness about a new school year. She put on her backpack and practically ran up the sidewalk! Ellie and I walked her to her classroom. She talked to her teacher and headed right in. Mrs. Jackson reminded her she needed to say "Bye" to her Mom, who was just hanging out in case she needed me. Lol, she didn't!

She was even more excited to wear a new outfit and new backpack!

Before she ran away into her classroom. I am SO glad that she loves school. She is excited to learn and meet more friends. I can't wait to hear about her first day at school! Tomorrow, she will ride the bus to school. Another super exciting thing for Molly! She just loves all of her "bus friends", they really take her under their wings and make her feel like a big kid too!
Last night we had a "Back to School" dinner. Grandma Candy and Papa Tom came over. Molly picked out our menu for the night. We had Tacos, Rice, Refried Beans, and Chips/Cheese Dip. The girls just LOVE soft tacos, so I wasn't surprised with her menu. She also picked chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. The girls decorated the cake with lots of colored sparkle sugar. It was fun to celebrate the first day of school. I think we will have to make this a tradition!
On day #2, Molly started riding the bus. She told me today that riding the bus wasn't so bad! :-) There is just something so exciting about the bus pulling up our driveway. Ok, Joe isn't so thrilled because it has ran over a sprinkler head each day. We have a lot of days of bus riding, so the sprinkler head is getting moved!
A few days before school starts the kids go to a "Back to School Night". They get to see their classrooms, take all their school supplies and chat with their teachers and classmates. I forgot to take my camera, but thankfully my friend Sara had hers.

Molly and Sara's daughter Cambree. These two girls were in preschool together last year. Molly always has stories of playing with Cambree. She really missed her over the summer! Now Cambree's little brother Westynn goes to Ms Stacy's daycare, so Ellie talks about him a lot too!
