Baby Alan "Jack" McClure

Baby Jack is finally here!  Jen and Jake headed to Wesley yesterday morning to have their second child, a boy!  This is the 1st grandson for the Murphy's (3 granddaughters) and the McClure's (6 granddaughters), so everyone was really excited!  Jen was induced around 7am and he was born at 10:30am!  Jack weighs 8lb 10oz and is 19 1/2 inches long!  He has a little bit of dark hair.  His first name is Alan, after Jake's dad, but will be called by his middle name Jack.  The girls practiced saying "Baby Jack" on the ride up to Wichita to meet him!
Joe picked up Molly early from school.  She was SUPER impressed that "Cambree's Mom" (Sara, who is the school secretary) called on the intercom system to Molly's class room to please bring Molly and her backpack to the office!  There was Joe and Ellie waiting on her and she said she knew we were going to go to Carter's house!  Lol  We left around 3pm and got home last night around midnight!  Long trip, but well worth it!

Jake said he is perfect and I think he was right!

Big sister Carter seems to really like her new baby brother.  Jen said she has given him 100 kisses already!  Lol

We got to hold him and check out his long fingers and toes!

Don't be mad Jen, but I had to put on a picture of you girls!  I didn't take this picture by the way, but glad someone else did!  :-)  You look great!

Ellie is checking out that new baby Grandma Candy is holding, that took her spot as the "youngest grandchild".  She touched his head a few times and told him bye when we left!

Uncle Joe holding Baby Jack

We went to Old Chicago in Old Towne to get dinner with Tom, Candy and Carter.  It was after 8:00pm, but the girls did surprisingly good considering it was past their bedtimes and they hadn't had dinner yet.  But we had pizza and the girls ate our lemons.  Ellie even ate the rind before I snagged the lemon from her!    We got on the road sometime after 9:30pm, the girls fell asleep immediately and I tried to stay awake and help Joe watch for deers!  I can't wait to see how much Jack has changed when we head back to El Dorado next weekend for a wedding reception.  Maybe I will get to hold this sweet baby while my girls dance the night away!  :-)

Cambree's mom thought Molly looked a tad bit nervous coming into the office until she saw her dad! Congrats to everyone. It will be fun to have a rough and tumble boy around...they are so much different than girls!
