Day at Home
We spent the day at home yesterday since daycare was closed. Molly went to preschool in the morning and must have made us something for Christmas there. She kept saying she did something with markers and she left it there and she can't tell me. Hmmmm? Ellie and I played at home until we drove to Ashland to pick Molly up. Then we stopped by the bank to visit Dad and the Bank Girls. Molly loves going because she gets stickers, suckers and candy. Ellie made her "Hilary faces" at all of them.
Nap time and bedtime has been rough at our house lately. Any advise for 3 year old nappers, she is killing me! It takes hours for her to go to bed and it involves yelling and crying. So stressful! I took away Dora for today, so we will see if that helps. She really likes to watch Dora. Have to admit, it is helpful when getting supper ready.
After nap we headed into town with Joe's deer (head), so Tara could take it to Garden City to be mounted. Who knew a deer head was so heavy? Goodness, I about dropped that box on the ground. Tara was thrilled about hauling such bloody, dead cargo. We owe her big time! Joe assured her that "Buckie" was frozen solid. Lol!
I attended a "gift giving" class last night. The extension office has been putting on classes such as salsa making and canning. This gave examples of cookie, dip, soup, etc mixes that could be packed in jars or bags and given as gifts. Cute ideas! Makes me want to bake!
Daisy has been inside these last few evenings since it is so cold outside. She follows me EVERYWHERE! But so does Ellie, so they race. Ellie is winning! :-)
Molly playing with her dollhouse. She is waiting for Ellie to go to bed so we can finish the applesause ornaments.
Here are the applesauce ornaments. We hung them on colored ribbon and put them on our tree. Molly picked out special ones to give out to our friends! She even picked out one for our friends dog, Sky! Lol
