Morning of the 4th!
Saturday morning Joe broke out the fireworks! Should I say the leftover fireworks from last year. There weren't too many left but enough for Molly to be thrilled with! She liked the smoke bombs and the snap-n-pops! Joe shot off 2 parachutes. Molly doesn't like the loud ones, but we thought she would like the little guy floating down with his parachute. Well the first one blew into the pasture so we lost him. The second one went really high and Joe ran after it like a little kid trying to beat his brothers to it. He got it and returned it to Molly, kinda bummed this one didn't have a little man just the parachute tied to a ball of plastic.
Molly doing snap-n-pops in her PJ's!
Ellie watching the fireworks in her PJ's! See a trend here? I accidently submitted this picture to our underwriters at work for a customers policy. Lol, it made their day seeing a little cutie instead of just houses and cars!
We had a lazy day and took naps and stayed in our PJ's (yes, all of us!) until after naps. Joe had left for the Coldwater lake after the smoke bombs (not in his PJ's!) so we went out to meet him. Joe's cousins have a camp spot and have definitely mastered camping out! They make it seem easy. Their spot this year is great! Lots of grass to play on, not too close to the water (for kids sake!) and very shaded with great big old trees! Molly was stuck to my leg (literally) when we got there ,but was the social butterfly we know after a hour or so there. We ate dinner out there and had dessert and dessert and dessert (oh they were good bar cookies, Jess!). Then watched the fireworks that the town shoots off over the Coldwater Lake. They are really good and Molly loved them! Ellie was asleep in my arms before they even started! Maybe next year Ellie will be more interested watching fireworks than falling to sleep. She had a hard day of playing in her exersaucer next to her cousin Easton in his exersaucer, wish I had a picture of that! Ellie also got passed around to lots of baby fans (and Ben who choose holding Ellie instead of eating dinner, thanks Ben) and she did really well!
